PROJECT TYPE: Poster Design

These movie poster redesigns are a concept for a series of film screenings dedicated to a single director’s work. I chose three of Taika Waititi’s films that center around the theme of boyhood and having to face harsh realities at a young age. To give the posters a childlike handmade quality, I made them in a collage style. In order to ground the poster series in their shared theme, I included grassy fields with clouds at the top, where the sky patterns and other visual elements throughout are nods to each individual film.
